2018 Winter Reunion

Participants of our 2018 Winter Reunion were given red-carpet treatment courtesy of our many volunteers and supporters, who continue to make this event one of the best!

Fairmont Hot Springs Resort hosted the 68 wish families in attendance, as well as our Hope Project coordinators and many volunteers enjoying the event. The delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, and courteous staff ensure a wonderful evening every time!

Tommy Comer, or Tommy the Train Builder as he is affectionately known within the Hope Project, was at it again, crafting the perfect Hollywood-themed entrance to our banquet room. We are going to have to change his name to “Tommy the Train/Sleigh/Santa’s Workshop/Welcome to Hollywood builder.” If he keeps this up, his name will no longer fit on the page!

Because no red-carpet event is complete without a Walk of Fame, Trooper Mike Zufelt crafted our very own, personalized Hollywood stars for every Wish Kid in attendance, which they were able to take home after the event.

Wish Mom, Tina Welter, donated two afghans, and Wish Grandma, Karen Lind, donated knitted hats, gloves, and scarves, all used as prize drawings during the banquet! ‘Tis the season to stay warm and cozy!

We were spoiled with photographers this year! J.C. Denton of J.C. Denton Photography, was set up with his camera and equipment ready to take family photos of all who wanted one, keeping the energy light-hearted and fun in classic J.C. style! New this year, our very own paparazzi, Zach Gartner, snapped candid shots of our wish families walking the red carpet, while capturing all the special moments throughout the evening.

No winter reunion is complete without the arrival of the big man himself. Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their elf were sure to make an appearance, something our Wish Kids have come to expect and love! Getting some one on one time with Santa and his crew is definitely worth the wait!

Thank you all for your continued involvement and support! We couldn’t do any of this without you!
