Paige

Model for a Day: Paige’s Wish

Step 1: Hire a professional driver.

Trooper, Ryan Janes, not only looked the part, but has a real future as a chauffeur to the stars if he’s looking for a career change. Opening doors, carrying $1,000 worth of shopping bags, and curbside assistance are just a few of the services he offers.

Step 2: Enjoy dinner out at Kobe Seafood and Steak in Missoula. You won’t have to wait in line, and they’ll only offer you their best chef for the evening.

Don’t be alarmed when the staff asks for photos and autographs!

Step 3: After you’re fully rested for the night, Lisa at Claws (Downtown Missoula) will make sure your hands and feet are camera ready.

Step 4: Kyla at Sugartree  Hair Salon (Downtown Missoula) will make sure your locks are looking fabulous.

Step 5: Jacqueline at Kindred Skin+Soul will make your skin look flawless while accentuating your natural beauty.

You will also get a swag bag full of goodies, just for being a celebrity!

Step 6: Hire your own private security (Troopers Templeton and Navarro) to accompany you to lunch.

Step 7: Photo shoot with J.C. Denton of J.C. Denton Photography

Wardrobe provided by One Eleven Boutique and Mood Boutique.

The Stunning Results

From the Family

The Montana Hope Project picked Paige to have her wish. This was exciting, and prompted, oh, so many mind changes! First, she wanted legs that worked. Next, a rock concert. Although, I tried to cheat and convince her to pick Hawaii, she finally decided she wanted to be a model.

Her hair was colored and cut two weeks before by Stacey Clark of Today’s Image in Deer Lodge. Stacey is also the one who referred her to the Montana Hope Project. Her wish was granted on Friday, February17th, when we headed to Missoula for her modeling shoot.

The day started with the State Troopers presenting Paige with a Wish Bear and explaining the details of her wish. Trooper, Ryan Janes, was our chauffeur, who stayed in character for 2 days at Paige’s beck and call.

Michelle Navarro, Missoula Area Coordinator, did an awesome job organizing our trip, and thought of every dream Paige could want. It was terrific!

Paige went to Claws Salon to be spoiled by Lisa Pilato and then had her hair done at Sugar Tree Hair Salon by Kyla Kendall. Her make-up was done by Kindred Skin+Soul; Jacqueline Kukay professionally made Paige a real model and spent the day making Paige’s wishes come true. Her photo shoot was amazing with J.C. Denton, the official photographer of the Montana Hope Project, who volunteers his time to make this magic happen. J.C. spent over three hours, not including setting up, on a wonderful, professional photo shoot. Mood Boutique and One Eleven Boutique had outfit changes available at the shoot. C’mon Inn was a wonderful stay that made her nights of swimming wonderful. Her dinner was tremendous at Kobe Seafood and Steak, and the service was fantastic. Austin, our waiter, made her day asking for her autograph, and made a great night fantastic!

We like to believe we can do anything for our child, but we know that we could not have made this wish come true without the truly wonderful people from the Montana Hope Project; it was truly a gift and something she will remember the rest of her life. We know there are so many more who dedicated their time behind the scenes, so thank you all. What you do is fantastic, and more to the point, honorable. These children hurt daily and have to overcome pain, loneliness, and the health issues that trump fun in their daily lives.  For us, a weekend of laughs and twinkling eyes will be remembered as the greatest day! We are truly family of the Montana Hope Project, and can’t thank you enough for the look of excitement and pure joy in our daughter’s eyes.
