Deborah is a 3rd generation Montanan who was born and grew up in Missoula. She moved to the Helena area in 1991, to take the job as the Deputy Jefferson County Attorney after law school. In 1997 she became an Assistant Attorney General with the Department of Justice and in that roll, trained law enforcement at the Academy and prosecuted Workers’ Compensation fraud for about 15 years. She became involved with the Montana Hope Project in 2007 as the treasurer. She believes that the Hope Project is a great grass roots organization that brings smiles to critically ill children and their families at a time when smiles are hard to come by. Her work with the Hope Project is a very rewarding and is grateful to have such a wonderful team to work with. She is now legal counsel for the Legislative Audit Division and recently moved to the east Helena valley with her beloved poodles.
