The 2022 Montana Hope Project Winter Reunion recently wrapped up, and the weekend at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort did not disappoint!
Wish Families enjoyed snacks, drinks, and goodies, including cookies freshly baked and decorated by the Drummond School Culinary Students, led by teacher Ms. Wetch, and the Powell County High School Foods Program, led by teacher Mrs. Perkins. The tastiness of these cookies enhanced by the fresh eggs donated by Farmer Boy Eggs. Additional snacks and drinks provided by Nabisco of Helena, Safeway of Helena, and Zip Beverage of Missoula. Mike and Heather Zufelt furthered the Hawaiian Christmas theme by bringing their personal Slush Puppy machine, and let’s not forget the amazing Hawaii-themed ornaments hand-crafted by our very own Bear Coordinator, Audrey Collins!
Participants also appreciated the chilly hayrides given by Wayne and Kris Chimulera and family; hay provided by Red Eye Rodeo. JC Denton had his camera ready to capture these memories for families and volunteers alike. Santa and his trusty elf made an appearance after dinner, so children of all ages could have some one-on-one time before Christmas.
Our entertainment for the evening was provided by Benny Weag (vocals/guitar), featured on this season of The Voice, Kelley Sinclair (vocals), and David Caselli (drums), all from Polson, MT. Our feet are still sore from dancing the night away!
The cooler temperatures did not seem to deter families from swimming in the outdoor pools, flying down the waterslide, or soaking in the hot tubs provided by Fairmont Hot Springs Resort! The staff continued to cater to our every need and made sure our stay was enjoyable. The food was incredible and there were no complaints the entire weekend, which is an incredible feat, all thanks to their attention to detail and quick action!
A giant THANK YOU to everyone who continues to make our reunions special for our Wish Families! Our expectations are exceeded every year and these weekends become better and better as a result of your kindness and generosity!
